Concrete Hot Tub Pads

Engineered to support 4,000+ lbs. Our reinforced hot tub pads provide the perfect level foundation for your backyard oasis.

Did You Know?

A filled 6-person hot tub weighs 4,000-5,000 lbs that's the weight of a small car! Your foundation must be engineered to handle this load safely.

The Ideal Hot Tub Foundation

A concrete pad is the only foundation that provides the strength, stability, and longevity your hot tub investment deserves.

Extreme Load Capacity

Our 6-inch reinforced pads support 4,000+ lbs without cracking or settling. Engineered for hot tubs weighing 80-125 lbs per square foot when filled.

Perfectly Level

Laser-leveled to within 1/4 inch. Hot tubs require a level surface for proper operation, even water lines, and to maintain your warranty.

Drainage Integrated

Slight slope around the perimeter directs splash water and rain away from your home. Prevents pooling and ice formation in winter.

Freeze-Thaw Resistant

Air-entrained concrete handles Canadian winters without spalling or cracking. Your pad stays smooth and solid year after year.

25+ Year Lifespan

Properly installed concrete pads last decades with zero maintenance. Far outlasts your hot tub and any alternative foundation.

Warranty Compliant

Most hot tub manufacturers require a concrete or equivalent foundation for warranty coverage. Protect your investment properly.

Hot Tub Pad Installation Process

1

Site Evaluation

We assess drainage, access, proximity to electrical, and soil conditions. We verify your hot tub dimensions and recommend optimal pad size.

2

Deep Excavation

We excavate 12-14 inches deep for proper gravel base and 6-inch concrete thickness. All soft spots are addressed.

3

Compacted Gravel Base

6+ inches of crusher run gravel is installed and machine-compacted in lifts for maximum stability and drainage.

4

Heavy Reinforcement

Wire mesh or rebar grid on chairs, positioned in the center of the slab for maximum load distribution.

5

Premium Concrete Pour

32MPa air-entrained concrete, vibrated to eliminate voids. Laser-leveled for perfectly flat surface.

6

Curing & Placement

Full 28-day cure recommended before hot tub placement. We coordinate timing with your tub delivery.

Hot Tub Pad Questions

How thick should a concrete pad be for a hot tub?

Hot tub pads should be 5-6 inches thick with reinforcement. A filled 6-person hot tub can weigh 4,000-5,000 lbs. The extra thickness and reinforcement prevent cracking and settling under this extreme load.

Can I put a hot tub on my existing patio?

It depends on the patio's construction. Most residential patios are 4 inches thick without heavy reinforcement and may not support a hot tub safely. We can evaluate your existing slab and advise whether it's suitable or if a dedicated pad is needed.

How long before I can place my hot tub?

We recommend waiting the full 28 days for complete curing before placing a hot tub. While concrete reaches 70% strength at 7 days, the full cure is recommended for the extreme point-load of a hot tub. Rushing can cause permanent damage.

Do you offer decorative finishes for hot tub pads?

Yes! We can install exposed aggregate, stamped concrete, or colored concrete for hot tub pads. These add aesthetic appeal to your backyard oasis. Additional cost applies for decorative finishes.
